Ath Bhakti Releases Singer Priya Mallick’s New Bhajan Jai Ho Khatu Shyam Ki

Singer Priya Mallick, who rose to fame after winning the trophy of first runner up in India’s first ever spiritual singing reality show Om Shanti Om aired on Star Bharat and now streaming on Disney Hotstar is back with yet another bhajan ‘Jai Ho Khatu Shyam Ki’ that released on Ath Bhakti YouTube channel. It will be available on 84 music platforms.

Presented by Pankaj Narayan and Ath Bhakti, ‘Jai Ho Khatu Shyam Ki’ is penned by Sajan Agarwal and composed by Manoj Santoshi, who has written one of the television’s most viewed comedy show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai. The bhajan is produced by Apoorva Bajaj and Rajesh Maskaraa.

“I used to sing Bihari folk bhajans in the past and this is my third Hindi bhajan which I have sung solo. Earlier, I sang a bhajan on Lord Rama with bhajan samrat Anup Jalota ji and one on Lord Krishna with Jazim Sharma,” says Priya Mallick.

Khatu Shyam Baba is a very famous god of the modern times whose temple is situated in the Sikar district of Rajasthan, India. Devotees believe in miraculously rediscovered head of Barbarika or Khatushyam, (a character from the Mahabharata) after he sacrifices his head to Lord Krishna.

Earlier, Priya has sung several popular bhajans of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna which are currently streaming on various music based OTTs. She also garnered a lot of appreciation for her expertise singing styles such as classical, jazz, sufi and rock.

   Composer Manoj Santoshi says, “I have a certain style of comic writing on television but composing a devotional song was like a dream to me. I am really kicked about this new beginning and is great to associate with the talented singer Priya Mallick. It is commendable that how Ath Bhakti and Pankaj Narayan have redefined the genre of devotional songs.”
